What Parts Will Wear Out?

Primary wear components: The Simple Pump has working u-cup seals at various locations in the pump assembly. These are made of safe, durable rubber products.

Expected lifespan: Unless your water is unusually gritty, these seals should last for many years. Normal use in clean water provides excellent longevity.

Included spare kit: One spare seal kit ships with every Simple Pump for future maintenance needs.

Replacement availability: Additional replacement u-cup seals can be purchased directly from Simple Pump.

Cylinder Piston Seal Maintenance

Model-specific maintenance: Each cylinder model (100CA, 125CA, 200CA) has specific seal replacement procedures and seal types.

2023 improvement: Starting in 2023, we utilize four identical seals for enhanced durability, seal life, and easier maintenance.

Service requirement: To replace cylinder piston seals, the pump system must be pulled from the well as the piston is located in the pump cylinder at the bottom.
