Client Story: Simple Pump Judged The Best Alternative

Love the Simple Pump!

Still planning on getting that 12v motor once we are living down in the Canyon full time. I have been tinkering with the idea of driving the Simple Pump with the wind, but have not tested anything yet.

So far we have used it to water the garden that we were able to start because of the Simple Pump. We installed our pump on our one year anniversary of purchasing our 20 acres in Montana.

I carried everything to the old well casing down a 400′ hill, coffee was still warm by the time we were getting water. Maybe no videos of my well getting water but that overly wet concrete had to come from somewhere.

So this is what sold us on Simple Pump. We wanted a hand pump. Our well is pretty shallow but not shallow enough. Most hand pumps don’t lift from over 25′-ish. We are at 4500′ Elevation. Bison Pumps or the Simple Pump are the only choices for a solid deep well hand pump. I spent a lot of time researching other options. Bike pump, pumping with air, wind, Hydro Ram, building my own hand pump out of PVC (can be done and work in my situation) but for the price, I couldn’t justify trying to make something work when I could buy something for a reasonable price that is for sure going to work.
